Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
We’ll start your adventure by picking you up from your hotel. Once you’ve met our guide and chef, we’ll drive to Tarangire National Park, which is about a 2-hour drive away. This park is famous for its diverse landscape, including ancient Baobab trees, and it’s home to the largest concentration of elephants in the country. Keep an eye out for these majestic creatures and watch the fascinating interactions within elephant families.
During our game drive through the park, we’ll focus on areas where animals have been spotted, especially predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards, which can be a bit tricky to find. You’ll also see plenty of herbivores like giraffes, wildebeests, and zebras.
Afterward, we’ll head to the Tarangire River picnic site for lunch. While enjoying the beautiful view of the river and the animals, you might be entertained by small monkeys and baboons trying to steal your lunch – don’t worry, they’re just curious!
Once we’ve had our fill, we’ll continue with the game drive until around 4:30 pm, when we’ll exit the park. After the tour, we’ll head to our accommodation in Mto Wa Mbu, where we’ll set up camp for the night.
Meals included: Lunch, Dinner
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater
The Ngorongoro Crater is considered the top wildlife park in Tanzania because of its stunning landscape – it’s actually a crater, which makes it easier to spot wildlife.
After an early breakfast, we’ll head to the Ngorongoro viewpoint to take in the breathtaking scenery. Trust me, it’s a view that will leave you speechless for a while.
Next, we’ll descend into the crater on a quest to spot the elusive black rhinos. They’re quite tricky to find, as the crater’s unique shape makes it easier to spot most other animals.
The Ngorongoro Crater is truly the gem of Tanzania’s parks. Not only is it incredibly scenic, but it’s also home to a wide variety of animals. And because the crater provides everything they need, the animals don’t need to migrate elsewhere.
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 3: Lake Manyara to Arusha
After breakfast, we’ll head to Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its abundance of flamingoes and the rare sight of tree-climbing lions, although they’re not often spotted.
During our game drive in the park, we’ll have the opportunity to see plenty of birds, including flamingoes, as well as other wildlife like buffaloes, wildebeest, warthogs, vultures, eagles, and monkeys. Keep your eyes peeled for those elusive tree-climbing lions!
We’ll also visit the hippo pool for a close-up view of these magnificent creatures and the hot spring, all while continuing our game drive and enjoying the stunning scenery of Lake Manyara National Park.
After the tour, we’ll head back to Arusha and drop you off at your hotel.
